Van Hemert's Dutch Oven Bakery - Boone
"UBI took a lot of stress out of borrowing, making sure to cover all the details."
Recently, we visited with Michael and Jillian Hammond, the new owners of Van Hemert's Dutch Oven Bakery in Boone, Iowa, and discussed why they chose United Bank of Iowa when looking for a financial partner. Michael explained, "When we decided to purchase the bakery, we went to several banks to compare options, giving careful consideration to the terms, service and personal relationship we would want with our bank. We chose United Bank of Iowa, not only for their competitive terms, but because Andy (Hunziker, lender at UBI) was very confident that UBI had the experience and knowledge to manage through the paperwork for SBA financing." The Hammonds both agree that the SBA financing was a good decision and voiced their appreciation regarding how UBI took care of all the paperwork, answered questions, and managed through any challenges that came up during the process. They also shared how Andy and the UBI staff went above and beyond working with the necessary lawyers and accountants to help streamline other necessary paperwork as well.
Jillian added, "I like the upgrades UBI recently made to the new Online Banking and Mobile Banking app and appreciate UBI's Customer Service Associates who process our daily transactions - they are fantastic to work with!" The Hammonds concluded, "UBI took a lot of stress out of borrowing, making sure to cover all the details. Andy and UBI took great care of us and we would recommend them without any hesitation!"
