Mike makes a difference at UBI by working alongside his customers to develop practical plans that help them reach their financial and farming goals. He enjoys learning about each customer's past adventures, current projects, and future dreams and values building relationships that last.
With a strong agricultural background, Mike brings firsthand experience to his role as Assistant Ag Loan Officer. He manages his own small-scale farm operation where he runs a 150-ewe sheep flock, raises show lambs, cuts forage for hay and experiments with cover crops, annual forages, and double-cropping.
Mike holds an associate's degree in Agricultural Science from Hawkeye Community College and a bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Northwest Missouri State University. Before joining the bank, Mike worked in parts sales for John Deere and spent time in the swine production field.
Outside of work, you can find Mike working at his acreage, lending a hand at county fairs, or supporting his three sons' activities.
