United Bank of Iowa recently presented a check for $64,085.10 to OABCIG Dollars For Scholars for the proceeds of the 2018 Whitey Thompson Hike-Bike-A-Thon. On hand for the check presentation was Marcia Cates, Vice President Marketing, of United Bank of Iowa and Paul Neumann, President of OABCIG Dollars for Scholars. The 24th annual Hike Bike event, held on May 9, had 620 student participants and $77,500 was raised in donations. As the proud sponsor of this event, United Bank of Iowa would like to thank the students for participating, volunteers for helping, community businesses and organizations for their donations, and family and friends for their generous donations to help fund scholarships for OABCIG students.
