UBI Donates to Odebolt Public Library

United Bank of Iowa in Odebolt recently donated $1,000 to the Odebolt Public Library to use toward the creation of their Makerspace project. A Makerspace is a S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) based workspace that allows children, adults and entrepreneurs access to a variety of technology tools. The Odebolt Makerspace will be geared toward children, allowing them the opportunity to experience tools and technology that otherwise may not be available to them. Having the chance to work hands-on with the available tools, concepts and technology, participants are given the freedom to think creatively, attempt trial and error solutions and observe and learn to problem solve.
