United Bank of Iowa recently donated $2,188 to Centers Against Abuse and Sexual Assault (CAASA). CAASA provides services for victims of abuse and sexual violence including a crisis line, counseling and support groups, medical and legal advocacy, violence prevention programs, safety planning, community education and more. The funds from this donation will be designated for use in Carroll County. This money was raised during United Bank of Iowa's UNITED TOGETHER Makes the Difference Cause Day effort.

The goal of UBI's Cause Day initiative is to give employees the opportunity to make a difference and support people in need in the communities the bank serves. On the second and fourth Fridays of each month, UBI employees from all 36 locations have the option to donate $5.00 to wear their UNITED TOGETHER t-shirts with jeans to work. The bank matches the employee donations up to $1,000 and the total is donated to one cause, randomly drawn from suggestions given by all 36 UBI locations.
