Dodger Academy - Fort Dodge

United Bank of Iowa recently donated $2,079 to Dodger Academy, an after-school program that serves TK through 5th grade students from the ECC and all elementary school in the Fort Dodge Community School District. This program provides a safe and supervised atmosphere after school until 6:45 PM each evening. Students benefit from academic help and enrichment opportunities. The students have time to practice, enhance and solidify the skills they learned during the school day. Enrichment opportunities involve a variety of local clubs and organizations that come and speak to the students. They also focus on social and emotional learning, teaching students to resolve their own problems in a respectful way with their peers. The money for this donation was raised during United Bank of Iowa's UNITED TOGETHER Makes the Difference Cause Day effort.
