Back to School New Shoes Program - Pocahontas

United Bank of Iowa recently donated $2,192 to the Back to School New Shoes program for the Pocahontas Area School district. This is the first year for the program that is headed up by the Pocahontas Community Hospital and UnityPoint Clinic Pocahontas and Laurens. Their goal is to provide new shoes for approximately fifty 7th graders so they can be proud of their new shoes when they return to school. The money for this donation was raised during United Bank of Iowa's UNITED TOGETHER Makes the Difference Cause Day effort.

Hope Radke, along with Greta Hansen and Brenda Beneke, from United Bank of Iowa’s Pocahontas office, presented the check to Jess Luft, UnityPoint Clinic Pocahontas and Laurens Clinic Administrator, representing the Back to School New Shoes program. Also representing the program is James Roetman, Pocahontas Community Hospital CEO, Hanna Kies, Pocahontas Community Hospital Administrative Assistant and Dena Sheffield, UnityPoint Senior Clinic Administrator
