United Bank of Iowa Donates $2,095 to Upper Des Moines Opportunity

United Bank of Iowa recently donated $2,095 to Upper Des Moines Opportunity of Storm Lake. The money for this donation was raised during United Bank of Iowa's UNITED TOGETHER Makes the Difference Cause Day effort. The goal of United Bank of Iowa's Cause Day initiative is to make a difference and support people in need in the communities the bank serves. On the second and fourth Fridays each month, UBI employees from all 37 locations have the option to donate $5.00 to wear their UNITED TOGETHER t-shirts with jeans to work. The bank matches the employee donations up to $1,000 and the total is donated to one cause, randomly drawn from suggestions given by all 37 UBI offices.
Upper Des Moines Opportunity was the recipient of UBI's April 24, 2026, Cause Day donation. This organization offers many programs and services to people in need, including a food pantry, housing and energy assistance, crisis assistance, clothing and furniture, school supplies and more. Our donation will be used specifically for Buena Vista County.
