United Bank of Iowa Donates $2,000 to The Track Guy Foundation
United Bank of Iowa recently donated $2,000 to The Track Guy Foundation, an Iowa-based organization serving young athletes in the state by purchasing running shoes, providing funding for running camps, and awarding scholarships to graduating seniors, making sure that financial need is not an obstacle for participation. The Foundation is committed to putting Iowa's student-athletes first and ensuring that cross country and track and field experiences are available to all interested youth. The money for this donation was raised during United Bank of Iowa's UNITED TOGETHER Makes the Difference Cause Day effort.
Cause Day was designed to give UBI team members a meaningful way to support people in need across the communities the bank serves. Each month, on the second and fourth Friday, employees at all 36 UBI offices are given the option to contribute $5 to wear their UNITED TOGETHER t-shirt with jeans to work. The bank matches those employee donations up to $1,000, awarding the combined total to a cause selected at random from suggestions from all 36 locations.
