United Bank of Iowa recently donated $2,069 to The Lotus Community Project. This money was raised during UBI's UNITED TOGETHER Makes the Difference Cause Day effort. The goal of United Bank of Iowa's Cause Day initiative is to make a difference and support people in need in the communities the bank serves. On the second and fourth Fridays each month, UBI employees from all 37 locations have the option to donate $5.00 to wear their UNITED TOGETHER t-shirts with jeans to work. The bank matches the employee donations up to $1,000 and the total is donated to one cause, randomly drawn from suggestions given by all 37 locations.

The Lotus Community Project, suggested by the Fort Dodge office, was the recipient of UBI's June 26, 2026, Cause Day donation. Funds from this donation will help support their efforts to provide shelter, counseling, and housing support for women and children and to help women as they re-enter the work force.
