United Bank of Iowa Donates $2,000 to River Valley Elementary School's
Backpack Program
United Bank of Iowa recently donated $2,000 to the River Valley Elementary School Backpack Program. The funds from this donation will assist the school's efforts of sending home food on Fridays for children in need. This food ensures that students will have an extra meal to get them through the weekend. The Backpack Program serves students in the Cushing, Correctionville, Washta and Quimby area. The money for this donation was raised by UBI employees, and matched by the bank, during UBI's UNITED TOGETHER Makes the Difference Cause Day effort. Since its start on September 11, 2020, this Cause Day initiative has donated $255,368 to 121 causes in UBI's market area.
