United Bank of Iowa recently donated $2,101 to Pocahontas Hospice House. The money for this donation was raised during UBI's UNITED TOGETHER Makes the Difference Cause Day effort. The goal of United Bank of Iowa's Cause Day initiative is to make a difference and support people in need in the communities the bank serves. On the second and fourth Fridays each month, UBI employees from all 37 locations have the option to donate $5.00 to wear their UNITED TOGETHER t-shirts with jeans to work. The bank matches the employee donations up to $1,000 and the total is donated to one cause, randomly drawn from suggestions given by all 37 offices.
Pocahontas Hospice House, suggested by the Pocahontas office, was the recipient of UBI's April 10, 2026, Cause Day donation. The funds from this donation will help support families of patients in the Hospital Hospice House program by providing adjoining rooms or nearby housing, ensuring they can remain close to their loved one during this time. The Pocahontas Hospice House serves hospice patients in the Pocahontas community and surrounding area.
