United Bank of Iowa Donates $2,053 to Partners for Patriots

Pictured is Craig Moritz from United Bank of Iowa presenting the donation to Molli and Daisy Griffin, who are representing Partners for Patriots. Also, with them is Huey, a giant schnauzer who is a service dog in training.

United Bank of Iowa recently donated $2,053 to Partners for Patriots. This money was raised during United Bank of Iowa's UNITED TOGETHER Makes the Difference Cause Day effort. The goal of United Bank of Iowa's Cause Day initiative is to make a difference and support people in need in the communities the bank serves. On the second and fourth Fridays each month, UBI employees from all 36 locations have the option to donate $5.00 to wear their UNITED TOGETHER t-shirts with jeans to work. The bank matches the employee donations up to $1,000 and the total is donated to one cause, randomly drawn from suggestions given by all 36 locations.

Based in Anthon, Paws for Patriots obtains, trains, and provides service dogs to military veterans or their family members. These dogs are trained specifically for the needs of that person, completely free of charge to the veteran. Partners of Patriots provides 15 to 24 service dogs per year to deserving veterans and their families, delivering dogs nationwide. Many of the dogs come from shelters and rescues, while others are provided by breeders passionate about helping veterans.
