United Bank of Iowa Donates $2,000 to BVRMC P.I.N.K. Program,
Surpassing $250,000 in Cause Day Donations.
United Bank of Iowa recently reached a significant milestone in its UNITED TOGETHER Makes the Difference Cause Day program, surpassing $250,000 in total donations. The bank's most recent donation of $2,000 was presented to Buena Vista Regional Medical Center's P.I.N.K. (Providing Imaging Needs & Knowledge) program. Since September 2020, United Bank of Iowa has donated $251,337 to 119 causes in their market area. The Cause Day initiative gives employees the opportunity to make a difference and support people in need in the communities the bank serves.
On the second and fourth Fridays each month, UBI employees from all 36 locations have the option to donate $5.00 to wear their UNITED TOGETHER t-shirts with jeans to work. The bank matches the employee donations up to $1,000 and the total is donated to one cause, randomly drawn from suggestions submitted by employees from all 36 locations.
The lucky recipient of the August 22, 2025, Cause Day donation was Buena Vista Regional Medical Center's P.I.N.K. program. P.I.N.K. is an acronym for Providing Imaging Needs & Knowledge and provides free mammograms for women with financial barriers. The funds from this donation will directly support women's health by helping more individuals access critical early detection services.
United Bank of Iowa employees presenting the donation are (L-R) Kayla Wilson, Rick Keith, Jake Schable, Becky Blackman, Jody Martinez, and Melissa Freese. Accepting the check on behalf of the P.I.N.K. program is Katie Schwint.
