United Bank of Iowa Donates $2,084 to Brushy Creek Honor Flight

United Bank of Iowa recently donated $2,084 to Brushy Creek Honor Flight. Based in Fort Dodge, Brushy Creek Honor Flight is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing western Iowa veterans with an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., offering a meaningful opportunity for honor, reflection, and closure. The money for this donation was raised during United Bank of Iowa's UNITED TOGETHER Makes the Difference Cause Day effort.

Cause Day was designed to give UBI team members a meaningful way to support people in need across the communities the bank serves. On the second and fourth Fridays of each month, employees at all 36 UBI locations have the option to contribute $5 to wear their UNITED TOGETHER t-shirts with jeans to work. The bank matches those employee donations up to $1,000, and the combined total is awarded to a cause selected at random from suggestions submitted from all 36 locations.
